Which plate size is right for me?
Comfort and mobility are the most important factors when choosing plate size. While 10"×12" was the old industry standard, modern sizing ranges from Small → X-Large. Medium (9.5" × 12.5") is designed to fit roughly 95% of users (the military 95th-percentile standard) and is the recommended starting point for most buyers. Use height as an easy first guide—shorter users trend toward Small, average builds toward Medium, taller/broader users toward Large or XL—and always try plates in your carrier for fit and range of motion.
